Athletic Eligibility
Every peptide and research compound tracked on PeptidePrices, cross-referenced against the current NCAA Banned Substances guidance and the WADA 2026 Prohibited List. NCAA athletes should treat anything in the "Banned" list below as an eligibility risk and confirm every medication or research compound with their compliance office. Reviewed August 30, 2026.

Quick answer
Some are. NCAA guidance explicitly names BPC-157, TB-500, EPO, hGH, hCG, MK-677, and IGF-1 among its banned examples. It also says the list is not exhaustive, so a chemically or pharmacologically related substance may be banned even when it is not named.
"Not listed" therefore does not mean cleared for an NCAA athlete. Check the ingredient, prescription status, and applicable exception with the school's athletic compliance staff.
Retatrutide status
“Reta” commonly refers to Retatrutide, Eli Lilly's investigational compound LY3437943; some research listings use GLP-3R. None of those names appears in the two public prohibited-source documents reviewed below. The official sources do not, however, publish a Retatrutide-specific NCAA classification.
The NCAA names banned drug classes, including peptide hormones, growth factors, related substances and mimetics, and gives examples. It says those examples are not exhaustive and that related substances may also be banned. Retatrutide is not one of the named examples.
Read NCAA Banned Substances guidance ↗Retatrutide, Reta, LY3437943, and GLP-3R do not appear by name. The list prohibits defined classes and, within several sections, substances with similar structure or biological effects. The document does not assign Retatrutide to one of those classes.

Reta is shorthand for Retatrutide (LY3437943). As of August 30, 2026, Retatrutide is not named in the NCAA's public banned-substance guidance or WADA's 2026 Prohibited List. NCAA rules address athletic eligibility, not whether possession or use is illegal. Because the NCAA uses banned drug classes and related-substance language rather than a complete public ingredient list, the absence of Retatrutide's name is not an eligibility clearance.
The NCAA's public guidance does not specifically name Retatrutide, Reta, LY3437943, or GLP-3R. It also says its examples are not exhaustive and that chemically or pharmacologically related substances may be covered by a banned class. An NCAA athlete therefore needs a substance-specific answer from the school's athletics health care or compliance staff before use.
