What the market shows

PeptidePrices found 4 in-stock listings from 4 vendors, checked through Oct 8, 2026. The lowest 10mg cost is 18% below the vendor median of $59.62; 2 vendors (50%) fall below that median. 4 of 4 vendors (100%) publish public COA evidence.

A public COA link shows that a vendor publishes testing data. It does not prove that every listed vial has a matching current report. Match the product, strength, batch, and lot before relying on a report.

How this report is calculated

The headline and median use each vendor's lowest whole-package checkout cost to obtain at least 10mg. Smaller packages are multiplied until the target is met, while larger packages retain their full checkout price. The lowest package total is shown only as secondary context because package sizes differ. Known public coupon discounts are applied. Shipping, tax, and unverified promotions are excluded.

Research context

What is Ovagen? Research, safety, and status

Ovagen is a three-amino-acid peptide: glutamic acid, aspartic acid, leucine. In the Khavinson papers it also appears under the code T-35. At 375 Da it is small enough that the developers argue it can be carried into cells by di- and tripeptide transporters. Their 2022 review modeled this on a computer against the LAT1 transporter and gave EDL a docking score in the same range as the other short bioregulators. That is a docking calculation, not a transport measurement.

The proposed mechanism is the same one the group applies to all of its short peptides: the peptide enters the nucleus, binds DNA or histones at specific sequences, and shifts gene expression back toward a "younger" pattern. For EDL specifically, a 2014 paper built molecular models of the peptide sitting in the DNA minor groove at AT-rich sequences. Those models were computed after the cell results were in. Nobody outside the group has shown EDL binding DNA in a living cell.

Key research takeaways

Ovagen is the tripeptide Glu-Asp-Leu from Vladimir Khavinson's St. Petersburg group. Vendors sell it as a liver and gut peptide, but almost all of the indexed research on this sequence is about the kidney.

The developers' own 2022 review lists two activities for Ovagen: nephroprotector, backed by a 2017 rat paper, and hepatoprotector, backed by a 2006 patent rather than a journal article.

The kidney work is rat and cell-culture research from one collaboration (the Khavinson institute plus Bukovinian State Medical University in Ukraine). We found no independent replication.

The only human data we found is a 34-patient chronic hepatitis study described inside the patent, reported by the applicant with no blinding details. We could not find it in any peer-reviewed journal.

Search "Ovagen" on PubMed and you mostly get veterinary papers about an ovine FSH product with the same name. Search the sequence instead.

Mechanism

Proposed bioregulator; rat and cell studies report kidney-protective and hepatoprotective effects and changes in aging markers.

Research areas

Liver and kidney-tissue bioregulator research. Human clinical benefit is not established.

Regulatory / research status

Research / preclinical only

Half-life

Not established in direct human pharmacokinetic studies.

Storage

Lyophilized vial: store at -20°C long-term or 2-8°C short-term, protected from light.

Reported side effects

Human safety data is sparse. The available evidence is mainly preclinical and small Russian studies from one research group, and it does not establish clinical efficacy.

Russian bioregulator; short peptide; limited but clean data. Human evidence is thin and mostly from one research group. Safety ratings summarize published clinical data, adverse-event reporting, and regulatory status. How PeptidePrices rates evidence. Research information only, not medical advice.
