Livagen is a four-amino-acid peptide from Vladimir Khavinson's St. Petersburg group, designed from the amino acid makeup of calf liver extracts. It has the most published work of these four bioregulators, and the sequence is consistent everywhere.

What the market shows
PeptidePrices found 5 in-stock listings from 5 vendors, checked through Oct 8, 2026. The lowest 10mg cost is 29% below the vendor median of $54.40; 2 vendors (40%) fall below that median. 5 of 5 vendors (100%) publish public COA evidence.
A public COA link shows that a vendor publishes testing data. It does not prove that every listed vial has a matching current report. Match the product, strength, batch, and lot before relying on a report.
How this report is calculated
The headline and median use each vendor's lowest whole-package checkout cost to obtain at least 10mg. Smaller packages are multiplied until the target is met, while larger packages retain their full checkout price. The lowest package total is shown only as secondary context because package sizes differ. Known public coupon discounts are applied. Shipping, tax, and unverified promotions are excluded.
Research context
What is Livagen? Research, safety, and status
Two properties are better documented here than for the other three peptides. Small-intestine peptidases in rats barely broke it down in vitro, which the authors offer as an argument that it survives the gut. And in a Moscow lab, Livagen inhibited enkephalin-degrading enzymes in human serum with an IC50 of 20 µM, without binding mu or delta opioid receptors. That is a test-tube enzyme result. It does not show an effect in the body.
The proposed mechanism is the group's usual one: the peptide reaches the nucleus and loosens chromatin that condenses with age, letting silenced genes switch back on.
Key research takeaways
Most of that work is about chromatin in blood lymphocytes from people in their 70s and 80s, done mainly by a Tbilisi genetics group that has published with Khavinson. It says nothing direct about the liver.
The liver evidence is rat hepatocyte cultures, a chick-embryo explant test, and a rat toxic-hepatitis model. The hepatitis model and a small human series exist only in the developer's patent.
That patent describes 23 patients with chronic hepatitis. It is the only human data we found for any of these four peptides, and it was never published in a journal.
No independent replication outside the Russian and Georgian collaborators.

Mechanism
Proposed liver bioregulator; rat and culture studies report effects on hepatocyte protein synthesis, digestive enzymes and chromatin.
Research areas
Liver and digestive-tissue bioregulator research. Human clinical benefit is not established.
Regulatory / research status
Research / preclinical only
Half-life
Not established in direct human pharmacokinetic studies.
Storage
Lyophilized vial: store at -20°C long-term or 2-8°C short-term, protected from light.
Reported side effects
Human safety data is sparse. The available evidence is mainly preclinical and small Russian studies from one research group, and it does not establish clinical efficacy.
Russian bioregulator; short peptide; limited but clean data. Human evidence is thin and mostly from one research group. Safety ratings summarize published clinical data, adverse-event reporting, and regulatory status. How PeptidePrices rates evidence. Research information only, not medical advice.
