The growth-hormone peptide market: 995 storefronts checked
PeptidePrices ran 11,940 storefront-compound checks across 12 products. Tesamorelin led the census: 714 storefronts, 71.8% availability and a $79 median listed price per 10 mg.
What the data shows
Tesamorelin is both widely listed and unusually visible
Tesamorelin appeared on 71.8% of the frozen panel, narrowly ahead of Ipamorelin at 71.0%. The next tier was more crowded:AOD-9604 reached 55.9%, CJC-1295 (No DAC) 53.1%, and Sermorelin 52.9%.
The price result is a storefront distribution, not a single quote. Tesamorelin's selected prices ran from $48.99 at the 10th percentile to $130 at the 90th percentile, with a $79 median per 10 mg. Shipping, taxes and unlisted discounts were outside the measure.
Forbes used the panel in its September 25 reporting, citing 526 sermorelin storefronts and 714 tesamorelin storefronts. That independent coverage described PeptidePrices as tracking nearly 1,000 online storefronts and disclosed the site's affiliate relationships.
Separate modeled estimate
6.54% proxy share implies $282 million in annual storefront revenue
Public laboratory-report incidence gave tesamorelin a 6.54% fixed-weight proxy share for February through July 2026. Applied to the $4.313 billion annualized storefront model, that allocates $282.0 million to tesamorelin. The full GH-axis family represented a 13.14% proxy share, or $566.7 million on the same basis.
These are modeled allocations, not audited sales. Google Trends receives zero numerical weight.

How the model was built
The proxy weights Finnrick Public at 50% (3,976 eligible mapped records), Freedom Diagnostics at 25% (32,555) and Kovera Labs at 25% (5,247). The annual baseline starts with 47,750,538 estimated visits from May through July 2026, a 11.98% accepted-order rate and a $188.52 average order value.

Scientific context
One market label covers several mechanisms
The census groups products by where sellers place them in the GH/IGF-1 market. That commercial grouping does not make the compounds clinically interchangeable.
GHRH analogs
These compounds act at the pituitary growth-hormone-releasing-hormone pathway.
Ghrelin-receptor agonists
The family is commonly grouped as growth-hormone secretagogues.
Growth-hormone fragments
These are measured as their own storefront products, separate from somatropin.
Downstream and direct comparisons
IGF-1 LR3 is downstream of GH signaling; somatropin is the direct HGH comparison.
Search interest
US interest in tesamorelin rose 416%
Latest complete 52 weeks versus the prior 52 weeks, ending 2026-09-06. The index is an anchored relative-attention measure; it is not search volume, orders, revenue or market share.
52 searches in 13 anchored batches; Ipamorelin was the shared reference term. The final partial week was excluded.
Methods and limits
What was measured, and where inference begins
- Panel
- 995 validated storefront domains checked for all 12 compounds on September 19, 2026.
- Price rule
- One standalone offer per priced cell, prioritizing the smallest defensible package, stock state and proximity to the standard presentation.
- Normalization
- IGF-1 LR3 per 1 mg; somatropin per 10 IU; all other rows per 10 mg. USD conversions use the retained census exchange-rate snapshot.
- Coverage
- The panel is a bounded research panel, not a legal registry of every seller. Posted prices can change after the census date.
- Model
- Laboratory incidence is a demand proxy. The $4.313 billion baseline annualizes a three-month traffic-to-revenue model and is not verified company revenue.

FAQ
How to read the census
How many peptide storefronts did PeptidePrices check?
PeptidePrices checked a frozen panel of 995 online research-peptide storefront domains for each of 12 growth-hormone-axis compounds. That produced 11,940 domain-compound checks: 4,884 normalized prices and 7,056 confirmed absences.
What did the census find for tesamorelin?
Tesamorelin had a normalized standalone price on 714 of 995 storefronts, or 71.8%. The selected-price distribution had a $79 median per 10 mg, with a $48.99 10th percentile and $130 90th percentile.
Does the 6.54% figure represent audited sales?
No. It is a fixed-weight proxy based on public laboratory-report incidence from Finnrick, Freedom Diagnostics and Kovera Labs for February through July 2026. Applying that modeled share to a $4.313 billion annualized storefront baseline yields $282.0 million; neither figure is audited company revenue.
How was the 416% tesamorelin search-growth figure calculated?
PeptidePrices compared the latest complete 52 weeks of anchored United States Google Trends data with the preceding 52 weeks. The retained series ends September 6, 2026, and excludes the final partial week. Google Trends measures relative attention, not searches, sales or market share.
