On November 6, 2026, one IU of research-labelled HGH 191AA cost $1.87 to $5.48 across the six vendors with in-stock listings on PeptidePrices once public discount codes are applied, a median of $3.54. Before codes, list prices ran from $1.96 to $6.09 per IU, a median of $4.17. These are prices for research-labelled vials before shipping and tax.
Vendors price HGH by the vial or kit, not by the IU, so the unit price has to be calculated. This guide shows the November 6 numbers from the PeptidePrices HGH price page, how to convert any listing to a price per IU, and why the same IU can cost about three times as much from one vendor as another.
Key takeaways
- On November 6, 2026, the six vendors with in-stock HGH 191AA listings ranged from $1.96 to $6.09 per IU at list price, and from $1.87 to $5.48 after public discount codes.
- Price per IU is the vial price divided by its IU, and 1 mg of somatropin is about 3 IU, so price per mg is about three times price per IU.
- Larger vials usually cost less per IU, but not always: PeptSelect's 36, 72 and 108 IU packs all price at $1.96 per IU.
- A reported prescription self-pay price of $19 per mg is about $6.33 per IU, and reported retail cash prices are about $43 per IU. Research-labelled vials are not approved products.
Price per IU by vendor on November 6, 2026
The table uses each vendor's lowest in-stock price per IU from the HGH 191AA price page. Six vendors had in-stock listings, ten listings in all. Individual vendors were last checked between September 24 and November 6, and the price page shows each check date. Prices are for one vial or pack before shipping and tax.
| Vendor | Vial | List price | Per IU | After public code | Per IU after code |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PeptSelect | 36 IU | $70.47 | $1.96 | $70.47 | $1.96 |
| ZestyRat Research | 24 IU | $49.99 | $2.08 | $44.99 | $1.87 |
| Pinnacle Performance | 24 IU | $99.99 | $4.17 | $79.99 | $3.33 |
| Peptides Costa Rica | 30 IU | $125.00 | $4.17 | $112.50 | $3.75 |
| Beacon Research Solutions | 10 IU | $50.00 | $5.00 | $47.50 | $4.75 |
| Atlas Longevity | 10 IU | $60.88 | $6.09 | $54.79 | $5.48 |
Before any codes, the six vendors' best prices run from $1.96 to $6.09 per IU, a median of $4.17. With the public discount codes the price page applies, they run from $1.87 to $5.48, a median of $3.54. Those last two figures are the ones the price page headlines: its lowest cost per IU is $1.87 and its vendor median is $3.54. The highest per-IU price is about three times the lowest.
Counting all ten in-stock listings, including vendors that sell several sizes, list prices run from $1.96 to $6.09 per IU with a median of $4.08. Two vendors, Atlas Longevity and Peptides Costa Rica, list non-U.S. shipping regions in our catalog, so delivered cost and availability can differ for buyers elsewhere.
Out-of-stock listings are left out. On the same day, a 100 IU kit at Beacon Research Solutions ($275.00, $2.75 per IU) and a 36 IU vial at Atlas Longevity ($110.69, $3.07 per IU) were both listed as out of stock, so they do not count toward the ranges above.
How to convert a vial or kit price to price per IU
Price per IU is the price divided by the number of IU in the container. Four checks cover most listings:
- Vial labelled in IU. Divide the price by the IU. $70.47 for 36 IU is $70.47 ÷ 36 = $1.96 per IU.
- Vial labelled in mg. Multiply the mg by 3 to get IU, then divide. A 12 mg vial is about 36 IU, so $70.47 is again about $1.96 per IU.
- Price per mg. Multiply the price per IU by 3. $1.96 per IU is about $5.87 per mg.
- Multipacks and kits. Use the total IU in the pack. PeptSelect's 3-pack is 108 IU for $211.40, or $1.96 per IU, the same as its single vial. To compare delivered cost, add shipping to the price before dividing.
IU versus mg: why the label matters
An international unit measures biological activity, while a milligram measures mass. For somatropin, the WHO's second international standard (NIBSC 98/574) is assigned 3.0 International Units per mg, and the institute notes that this figure relates to the somatropin monomer (NIBSC instructions for use, version 6.0, November 14, 2025). The European product information for Omnitrope shows the same ratio on a medicine label: a 5 mg cartridge corresponds to 15 IU (EMA Omnitrope product information). In practice, treat 1 mg as about 3 IU.
Mixing up the two units changes the unit price threefold. A vial labelled only "10" is either 10 IU (about 3.3 mg) or 10 mg (about 30 IU). At $60, that is $6.00 per IU in the first case and $2.00 per IU in the second. Read the label and the product page for the unit before dividing.
A certificate of analysis can report content in mg or in IU, so match the unit before comparing a report with a vial. A vial labelled 36 IU should correspond to about 12 mg of somatropin, and a large gap between the report and the label is a question for the vendor. Our guide to reading a peptide COA explains the other fields on a report.
Most compounds on PeptidePrices are compared per mg. The HGH page compares per IU because vendors sell it by IU, so its numbers cannot be set directly beside a per-mg price for another compound without converting. HGH fragment 176-191 is a different compound, sold by mass, with its own price page.
Prescription somatropin prices for context
Prescription somatropin is an FDA-approved medicine that is labelled and priced in mg, and public price figures vary by pharmacy, insurance and program. The most recent figures we could source come from a MedFinder guide to Omnitrope updated February 26, 2026. It reports cash retail prices of about $656 for a 5 mg cartridge and about $1,304 for a 10 mg cartridge. At 3 IU per mg, that is about $43.73 and $43.47 per IU. The same guide says Sandoz's OmniSource self-pay program offers Omnitrope pens at $19 per mg for eligible patients, about $6.33 per IU (MedFinder). We could not confirm the program price on the manufacturer's own page, so treat these as reported figures.
These numbers are not a like-for-like comparison with the research listings above. Prescription products are approved medicines dispensed through a pharmacy, while research-labelled vials are not approved products. PeptidePrices tracks research-market listings and does not give medical advice or guidance on use.
What makes research HGH prices differ
- Vial and kit size. Larger vials cost less per IU. ZestyRat Research lists 10 IU for $39.99 ($4.00 per IU) and 24 IU for $49.99 ($2.08 per IU), so the larger vial costs 25% more in total and about 48% less per IU. Peptides Costa Rica's 12 IU vial is $5.83 per IU against $4.17 for its 30 IU vial. Multipacks did not always lower the unit price: PeptSelect's 36, 72 and 108 IU packs all price at $1.96 per IU.
- Discount codes. Public codes take 5% to 20% off at five of the six vendors, which is why the table shows list and after-code prices side by side. Codes change, so use the price page for current offers.
- Testing evidence. On the price page, only one of the six vendors has an exact issuer-verified COA for at least one listed HGH strength. That is ZestyRat Research, and the report shown is for its 10 IU strength, not the 24 IU vial with the lowest per-IU price. Exact strength matching matters when you read a report, as our COA verification guide explains. In this sample, the cheapest per-IU listings were not the ones with the most test evidence, but six vendors are too few to call a pattern.
- Shipping origin and stock. Shipping and tax are excluded from every number here. A low unit price from a distant shipper can lose its advantage at checkout, and stock matters: three of the nine vendors with HGH listings (Averix Labs, PeakForm Peptides and Peptide Express) had nothing in stock when we checked.
What price per IU does not tell you
A unit price compares cost only. It says nothing about identity, purity, endotoxin or the actual IU content of a vial. Use it to shortlist listings, then read the certificate for the lot you receive and compare it with the label. The COA library shows the reports we have matched to listings, and our growth-hormone peptide census covers the wider storefront market.
Frequently asked questions
How much does 1 IU of HGH cost?
On November 6, 2026, one IU of research-labelled HGH 191AA cost $1.96 to $6.09 at list price across six vendors with in-stock listings, a median of $4.17. With the public discount codes the price page applies, the range was $1.87 to $5.48 and the median $3.54, before shipping and tax.
How many IU are in 1 mg of HGH?
About 3 IU. The WHO international standard for somatropin is assigned 3.0 IU per mg, so a 12 mg vial is about 36 IU and 10 IU is about 3.3 mg.
How do I calculate the price per IU of a vial?
Divide the vial or kit price by its total IU. If the vial is labelled in mg, multiply the mg by 3 first. For example, $70.47 for a 36 IU vial is $1.96 per IU.
Why is a bigger vial cheaper per IU?
Vendors usually price larger vials below the sum of smaller ones. ZestyRat Research charges $4.00 per IU for 10 IU and $2.08 per IU for 24 IU. Not every vendor discounts larger packs, though, and PeptSelect's multipacks cost the same $1.96 per IU as its single vial.
How much does prescription HGH cost per IU?
Reported cash prices for Omnitrope cartridges work out to about $43 to $44 per IU at retail, and $6.33 per IU through the manufacturer's self-pay program at a reported $19 per mg, according to a MedFinder guide updated February 26, 2026. Prices vary by pharmacy and insurance, and these figures are secondary reporting.
Is research-market HGH the same as prescription HGH?
No. Prescription somatropin is an FDA-approved medicine dispensed under a prescriber. The vials in this guide are research-labelled products that are not approved for human use, and PeptidePrices does not provide dosing or medical advice.
Does a lower price per IU mean lower quality?
Not necessarily, and a lower price does not show higher quality either. Price per IU measures cost. Compare certificates of analysis, exact strengths and lot numbers to judge the evidence behind a listing.
